Country’s songwriting Rhodes scholar/movie star, Kris Kristofferson, is coming to the Gallagher-Bluedorn to share his memorable songs, top hits such as “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Sunday Morning Coming Down,” “Help Me Make It Through The Night,” “For the Good Times,” as well as music from his new release “This Old Road.” He’s recorded more than 25 albums, three of which included his fellow “Highwaymen” Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings.
His songs have been recorded by more than 450 different artists and he’s won the Country Music Song of the Year Award, as well as Songwriter of the Year from the Nashville Songwriter's Association three times. He also is a member of the Songwriter's Hall of Fame.
He will appear in the film "Fast Food Nation" later this year and is the subject of a new tribute album, "The Pilgrim" that has artists as diverse as Gretchen Wilson, Patty Griffin and Brian McKnight covering his songs.
