BEYOND THE PERFORMANCE
IN-SCHOOL ARTIST EXPERIENCE: “Dance Composition and Creative Writing” with Nicole Morford - Grade 3-5
-In this residency, students will explore the processes of creative writing and dance composition side by side. They will participate in exercises that compare the structure of dance to the structure of an effective story and what components are involved in each as well as phrasing activities and wordplay paired with movement. These two processes will be married in this residency, employing visual and kinesthetic learners at once. Nicole Morford, founder and Artistic Director of Poetic Rebound Performance Company will lead students on the exciting journey of discovering how these two creative processes can inspire and mirror one another.
