Outreach

amyThe Gallagher-Bluedorn believes that life influences art and art influences life.  We believe the performing arts enriches the human condition.  We believe learning and performing arts are dependent of one another.  And we believe Iowa children who are engaged in or experience the arts have a greater competitive advantage.

I’ve had the privilege of working with great artists and teachers throughout the nation.   I quote Kennedy Center Teaching Artist Randy Barron,

“We need to be able to share our solutions, be able to brainstorm, be able to collaborate, to be creative, to be innovative, to be intuitive, to be empathetic. All of those skills are absolutely crucial for the 21st century. And all of those are embodied in how the arts think, and how artists create what they create and how they share what they create.”

Come, be inspired,

amysig
