Kaleidoscope Series for Youth

A great way for your child to experience the excitement of live performance! Once again, the continued generous support of Allen Hospital and the Friends of the Gallagher-Bluedorn, allow us to offer all Kaleidoscope shows for "a buck a kid!" Professional Development for Teachers

Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center at the University of Northern Iowa and Waterloo Community Schools are offering a hands-on seminar designed to develop the skills of artists and educators in presenting educational workshops for teachers. Kaleidoscope Connections

Engage your students both before and after the Kaleidoscope performance by having a UNI Education major visit your classroom to implement activities and discussions related to the performance. You can learn more on the Kaleidoscope Connections page

 

Teaching Artist Development
The Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center at the University of Northern Iowa and the Iowa Arts Council will host a two-day workshop September 4th & 5th, “/Artists as Educators: Planning Effective Residencies for Students/”, developed by the John F. Masterclasses and Residencies

Satellite Communities

Since 2004, the Gallagher-Bluedorn has extended activities and programs to surrounding communities in Iowa. This project enriches rural towns with arts and cultural experiences. For more information, go to the Satellite Communities page.
